Wheels of Energy

The chakras are the name given to vortices or wheels of energy which exist in the subtle body, the energetic counterpart of the physical body. There are seven principal chakras which are located along the spine, each of which are linked to a specific gland in the endocrine system. Through their influence on the endocrine system, the chakras influence the organs and tissues of the body. Each chakra is uniquely designed to receive and transmit specific energetic qualities.
